I do some unix, linux and BSD stuff for a university in South Florida. My reasons for using FreeBSD are varied, but it boils down to
- It's Free
- It's Stable but not stagnant -- it's got modern programs available for it and is updated often.
- It Runs on various architectures
- It's Customizable
... except that when Dave starts an article and I finish it, I keep using his machine's name for the rest of the examples. Nothing in life is certain. --Jimbo 00:13, 26 Aug 2004 (GMT)
