Does everyone else have trouble with Gnome applications and CUPS?

... for working on this article. I tried to get CUPS running a couple years ago and finally snarled "fuck this" and bought a JetDirect instead. =)

(I still think the JetDirect is a better choice in a lot of ways, but that doesn't mean I don't wanna be ABLE to run a CUPS server instead!)
