FreeBSDwiki:Site support
From FreeBSDwiki
If you want to support FreeBSDwiki, there are several ways to do it:
Thanks for reading; I hope you find the wiki as useful as I do. --Jimbo 16:57, 27 February 2006 (EST)
- Contribute! It's free, it's easy, just hit existing articles and improve them or create your own articles and share your own experience. As with any wiki, anything you contribute is subject to merciless editing and/or "nah, I don't like that" deletion, but in general if you think it's helpful, it probably is.
- Spread the word! Mention us on your blog, to other people interested in FreeBSD, in Experts-Exchange comments (or questions or answers), in articles at the original Wikipedia, or anywhere that we're relevant. The major reason for this wiki's existence is to provide support, so helping people find us is a Good Thing(tm).
- Say thanks! Leave an appreciative comment on a user's talk page when you enjoyed an article they wrote, or in Current events if you don't know who wrote an article / just want to say something nice about the wiki in general. It would be nice to get something there besides spam! =)
- Hire Jimbo! If you're interested in contracting out FreeBSD (or Windows or other *nix) consulting and/or remote administration work, email jimbo (at) freebsdwiki (dot) net; I am a full-time consultant and a considerable amount of my business is remote administration and consultation on machines which I may never get within 500 miles of.
